I started out driving German and have slowly made my way to American in the last 6 or so years, my last car being an S550 Mustang GT. Sold it because I wasn't driving it and immediately regretted it since I didn't have a toy in the garage. I told myself I wouldn't buy something for at least a year since I wouldn't drive it. A week later I was looking for a Shelby GT350.
So I finally find a Shelby (for $2500 less than sticker) but the deal just didn't work out. They were unable to get me less than 5% financing and after paying 0% for my last three cars I couldn't find it in myself to pay that much in financing charges.
Fast forward to yesterday. I'm coming home early to get some reports done for the end of Q3. Oh, I'll stop at my local Chevy dealer "real quick" and check out an 07 Z06 they had on consignment. Car was a blast but just not exactly what I wanted. Dealer sales guy mentioned they have a used 14 Stingray in the back. Turns out it has the red leather Competition seats and after the test drive I knew I had to at least make an offer. They ended up accepting and I'm the proud new owner of a 14 Z51 3LT Stingray! Even my girlfriend loves it! It is a night and day difference from the Mustang and even the Shelby doesn't hold a candle to the interior on this car.
Thanks everyone! Any must have mods for a newbie Vette owner? Looks like Z06 front splitter and mild2wild switch may be first. All this new lingo has me scratching my head a lot here lol
