Young DIY C3 owner full of questions
What's up everyone! I'm new to the forum but am glad to finally be a part of it. I'm 20 years old & have owned a 1972 coupe for a couple of years now. Unfortunately I did not grow up in a family that had any interest in working on cars so I'm not very experienced with them. I did go to a tech school for about a year for body/paint work. Soon after I got a job in an insurance shop, but left because I do not particularly
care for newer rides, I love the classics. Anyway I've found a new profession & have decided to work on old rides as a hobby. I've now got my own shop to work in, and literally am ready to attack my car for a full on DIY restoration because all this time of paying mechanics to do what turned out to be poor quality quick fixes on my car has been nothing but a waste of money & a headache😁. I am constantly self-educating myself on old corvettes & all the mechanical aspects of them via the internet & books, but am still full of questions & seek guidance from those of you with years of experience on the C3's. So you'll be hearing from me a lot. lol
thanks, Matt
