Hello everyone
I am a new member who upon going through a midlife crisis told the wife I wanted a Harley, a younger mistress or a Corvette.
she said I could get the car........
Seriously though I sold a beautiful F250 Super Duty and bought a 1999 C5 and it is my first experience at owning a Corvette.
Seems it like owning a boat except parts cost more. I was told a boat is just a hole in the water where you throw your money. Also that the best 2 days of owning a boat is the day you buy it and the day ya sell it.
I am afraid I made a mistake buying the car. Don't get me wrong, it sure puts a smile on my face even sitting in it and driving it is a blast.
I am finding out it has an issue that is very common and you can probably guess what it is. I didn't research enough to see that parts are VERY expensive and since I am disabled and waiting to get approved for disability I have zero income and I am seeing now this car needs $$$$$$$ to keep it running right......and stopping.
I think I could have made a better choice in vehicles seeing what my financial situation is.
I am getting the TCS C1243 & B2527 codes.
I am slowly working through checking/cleaning grounds, checking wheel sensor wiring, cleaning wheel sensors and then.........??
I hope it don't need the whole unit replaced because I do not have anywhere near $1500 - $2000 for a part. I hope it's a ground issue or something.
The problem is intermittent and sometimes the system works and sometimes it don't. I ran a jumper to the motor and it ran.
I am scared I got in over my head with this C5.

And thanks to everyone....I have already learned a butt load being here.
My new to me C5
