Hello All, I just purchased my first Corvette. Like many I've always wanted one but not able to until the kids were out of the house. I purchased an 01' C5 convertible in Quicksilver. I'll be fixing the little common issues and maybe minor mods in the future. Looking forward to reading everyone's input and learning from the wealth of knowledge here.
I'll use the car for my daily driver at least when its not snowing in Indiana then during the summer short tours around the Midwest. I believe it has all original replaceable parts except for tires which are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.
Work done:
replaced relays in driver & passenger side door modules
reverse lockout solenoid
Replaced air filter
Cleaned MAF and throttle body
Work to do:
Brakes - Rotors and pads
Horn - little nervous about removing the airbag myself
Drivers seat rails to fix the rocking during acceleration and braking
Replace fluids
There's a lot of rock chips on the front bumper cover, i'll be getting an estimate to repaint.
inspect tie rod ends
probably replace shocks
Fix the soft top window rattle
