Parents bought this car new in 89. Man it needs some help!! 80000 miles on it. But they let in sit in the senior home parking lot for the last 10 years. Runs good but anything rubber or plastic needs to be replace.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to C4. 80K is nothing on a C4 but you're right you will need to change a lot of rubber parts and perhaps some plastic ones as well (vacuum connections).
Also and this is important ... every fluid in the car needs to be changed out. Radiator, brake fluid, oil, trans fluid and rear diff fluid.
All of your questions can be answered in the C4 section. Also by learning to used the "advanced search" function. The great thing is that everything that you will need to do has already been done by any number of folks here and documented in the forum over the years.
Had Safelite install a new windshield. First guy didn't even show,second was scared to do it. So I removed all of the trim and weather striping to just have them do the glass. 218 bucks not bad after two discounts for not showing up
