I've owned sports cars since I was 18 and it's cost me a couple wives (so I'm not going through a mid-life crisis thing) ... I had a couple MG's and 240Z right out of high school, a C4 back in the 80's and a Porsche 944 in the 90's then a C5 ... after that I got tired of loosing money to the depreciation factor and into older cars ... now I just spend money getting them fixed up
Last week I bought a '72 C3 survivor that's been well taken care of but after getting it home and inspecting it needs new rear axle bearings badly and little things like its wet around the rear main, needs a tranny pan gasket and front and rear seals like I said they're just wet, not really dripping.
I'm thinking of putting a coil-over kit on it and taking out the trans-verse spring ... has anyone done this? Does it do much for handling? I'm not a racer but I do like a good handling car and noticed a bit of wheel hop when going through round-about's ... and I like to do an auto-cross now and then but I'm not too aggressive about it.
