I'm not much of an animal hunter, but I have plenty of toys in the stable. I like to stalk the forums for info and sales before getting into a new ride. I'm looking to swap my Evo for a C5 this summer, if possible. I'd like to find something already track worthy, but price will likely be the driver for what's attainable.

I'm not picky about the looks as much as its performance. I don't plan on showing it off in a parking lot, unless there's cones to go around. Hell, it could be Plasti-Dipped and I'll take it if it wakes the neighbors every time I fire it up.

I had a 4th gen 383 stroker Z28 before the Evo, and I miss the raging burnouts and respect on the roads. Few people recognize the Evo as anything other than a rice burner. If there is a list of basics to watch for in C5's, I could use a crash course into the 'vette world!

Thanks all

This appears to be exactly what I'm looking for, black on black Z with miles and nice upgrades:
2002 z06 very clean 15.7-16.7k

Welcome to the forum. The one you linked is already sold. Good luck with your search.

Yup, just trying to give an idea what I'm looking for. I still have some cleanup work to do on my Evo before putting it out to pasture, so I have time to wait for something to pop up. Just hoping for some help in spotting good deals when they come along

What you need to do is post up a Wanted to Buy thread in the C5 Corvettes for Sale section describing what you are looking for and see what responses you get. There are plenty of modded Vette's out there and many are listed for sale in that section of the forum. Good luck in finding the right car for you.

That's a good idea. I'm still trying to figure out what to look for. Apparently, the blue valve springs are the bees knees from what everyone said in that For Sale thread!? I have to acquire a lot more knowledge before I know what to ask for. Thanks for the idea

I actually ended up driving to New Jersey last weekend to pick up this one off the forum: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...500-in-nj.html

Now I'm getting a look at how all the different wheel combinations look on C5's. I'm digging your C6 wheels.

I don't understand how my car still has stock exhaust on it. It needs to be heard

Congratulations on your purchase. C6 wheels just fills it out a little better, that extra inch front and back just makes all the difference. You'll love the Vette, super fun car. Thanks. -Sebastian
