I never actually thought I'd own a Corvette. I always would point out the grey-haired guys driving one and say "I'll be old before I get my Vette!". I actually had spreadsheets comparing the performance value of the C4 versus everything else. I picked up a 1990 coupe last summer. It really felt like one of those too good to be true stories. Sometimes if you show up first with cash, you get the car! It is an auto 3.07, been sitting for a few years but is running now after a coil and brake booster.
I'm in South Dakota, interested in maybe autocrossing (Sioux Falls?) or track day (Brainerd, Omaha?), heading out to Corvette Rally in the Black Hills, and modifying my C4. I have two young boys and I am thrilled when they take an interested in the car. My background in the hobby starts from drag racing my 72 Nova back in high school and Formula SAE competition in college (any FSAE guys in here?). I have a mechanical engineering degree and work in the off highway vehicle industry. I've been reading for a few months now, I think I've graduated to posting!

Nice looking C4. Lots of people may argue with you about what the best performance value in existence is, but as long as you're happy with the car you own, it really doesn't matter.
Welcome to the forum - the C4 sections have a lot of good information and friendly people to get to know.
