Hello everyone!
My name is Henrry (no typo ), and I guess you can say I went from a M5 to a C5
In selling the BMW M5, I knew I had to get something that not only has more options available to be built, but to own something that would mean something: my parents had just saved up enough money to finally afford a desktop computer for me (we are talking in the late 1990's when PC's first came out hot), and in the only racing game I had for the PC, I always chose the C5 corvette!
I had used the BMW M5board forum for info when I needed something, and in getting my white 1997 corvette a day before Thanksgiving 2016, I just recently realized: hey! There is sure to exist a Corvette Forum!
I am looking to get more out of a forum. Rather than just reading in the shadows, I hope to one day being able to contribute knowledge and inspiration to everyone else. I am certain that the seasoned veterans will set me straight.
My C5 is by no means a garage queen..., but the previous owner did maintain it mechanically to say the least, along with blacking out the markers, tail lights, and fixed headlamps. So yes, I have a little project on my hands before the weather over here clears up.
Reporting from Central NJ. From the posts I ran into so far, everyone on here seems to be nice and supporting. Hope to run into and meet you guys in the future!

Thank You everyone! I really appreciate the warm welcome and compliments!
I am just more pumped up to start this "project" !
I have been on the "C5 Parts" section of the forum eyeing things to get ideas and to see if things that are for sale interest me. I just know that there are more "parts" and "options" to mod and build a C5 than a M5. Not much could had been done to a BMW M5's V10 naturally aspirated engine

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. There's more mods you can get than you could possibly imagine. I have my Z06 almost 14 years now and I'm still modding it, bought new.

Thanks everyone!
And wow. I look forward to it! Hopefully I hold onto it as long as you
With the M5 I had already having a naturally aspirated engine, there wasnt many mods available. I mean, what more could be done to a V10 engine??
I was going to go for a C5 Z06, but I figure that a C5 "base" (meaning non-Z06) car would be enough for what I would like to do.
Specifically, after some thought before pulling the trigger, the money difference that I would save between buying a Z06 and a non-Z06 would be the money used to modify the engine and such.
Did I mean to say a "Z06 killer" or 'base' C5 "sleeper"? I don't know!

New vette
Hello!
It has been a while...
My profile says my last log-in was on 11/12/17 at 6:44PM EST.
I could not find a section where one could update eveyone in the forum about the car.
I hope everyone is ok with me resurrecting this Old Thread.
I am not a new member (Arctic White C5), BUT I now own a C6 Corvette!
Arctic White C5: 11/23/16 - 01/04/19
LeMans Blue C6: 05/14/19 - Present
I am sorry for the bad picture.
It is the only picture I have, which was taken the first time I saw her in person.
Plus, this rainy NJ weather has not taken a break.

Been busy. But back again
Making a return to the forums with the C7! ... Well, here is the timeline since I was last active here with the C6.
Last quarter of 2020,
Picked up an Arctic white with Adrenaline red C7 stingray Z51
On National Corvette Day 06/30/2021 last year,
Picked up an Arctic white with Adrenaline red C7 z06
No longer have the white C7 z51, but just recently added a Black C7 stingray (non-z51) to the driveway!
