Default A late hello.

Hi All,

I joined the forum a few years back, but never did a proper introduction. I haven't been on here for a few years.

Anyways, I live in Akron, Ohio.

My toys are: a 73 chevelle SS 454 that I have had since 1990.

68 corvette coupe that I have had since 1998. It has the L-79 327. My Dad bought the Vette in 1971. It has been in the family since. It had a frame off in 1994. It still has many of the original parts. The drivetrain is all original except for the water pump and the carb, both of which are long gone. Over the past 10 yrs I have replaced the carpet, forward wiring & engine harness & weather stripping. Currently doing the rear carpet and have decided to do the rear wire harness since it is out in the open now.

I enjoyed browsing the politics forum on here. It looks like I will fit right in.

Nice, first year of the C3s! I like those long curved fronts. What color? Any before and after photos?

Thank all of you for the warm welcome. The car was originally polar white. Dad hit a deer with it in 1977 and decided to have it painted gold while it was being repaired. (Hey, It was the 1970's, what can I say.) The gold kind of grows on you after a while. He did not have it re-painted during the frame off in 1994. the paint was still nice. It still shines good today, However I would like to get it back to the original white. It could use a paint job now. The repairs made from the deer hit are starting to show and the rivets for the head light buckets are starting to show, as well as several other flaws. I don't have any digital pictures handy. I will get some posted in a day or 2. I would do it today but it has been nothing but rain all day long. In the meantime, here a a few of my chevelle at the all chevy show at Summit Racing.
