Hello to the forum.
I just joined yesterday and am looking forward to all the benefits afforded by being a forum member. I'm the proud owner of a 1968 BB coupe (hence my user name) which I bought new in May of 1968. It sat idle for many years while several other responsibilities made it necessary to put the car on the back burner so to speak. But last year I located a technical expert (I used to call them mechanics) that has me back on the road.
Anyway, thanks to all who run this forum and the many contributors that keep things interesting.
Here's a couple photos of my car. It's Corvette Bronze with Tobacco interior. Not too many of those floating around.
It was originally a 390, but after spinning the same main bearing twice in 1970, Chevrolet replaced the block with a 454 4 bolt main and put on the old heads, manifold and carb. Those didn't last long and it got HP iron heads (GM) and an L88 high rise manifold and of course it needed the L88 hood and a Holley 850 DP. It has the M21 gearbox and 3.70 posi rear gears. It can really get with the program...
Two of my good buddies had that color back in the day. Bruce Conyers in Md had a 435 T-top as well as a 66 Coupe (recovered stolen).
And my buddy Neukam Farrell Neukam from IN got his 68 after army. His throwback pic is shown in a current thread started last Sunday by (user name) Mike@Criswell. Mike is a big time forum dealer. Look for the one with 65 hubcaps.
I had a 390 CV but it was Nassau Blue way back then.
