New Z06 Coming
Hello!
I've had a pair of Camaro's (3rd gen Z, and 4th gen SS), a bunch of 4x4's, a CTS-V (V1, built LS6), a supercharged/tuned Tundra, and am now picking up a C6 Z06 to be my toy.
I was lucky to find a 2009 with 7K miles on it, at an incredible deal. Zero mods aside from a mild-to-wild. I was pretty intent on a 2009, since after reading hours of research on here, that seemed to be a model year with everything sorted out... no issues with T6060, bigger axles, and has the new bigger oil pan. I was weary to the valve issues, but see that the consensus is that unless I mod it and track it, SHOULD be fine. I don't plan on any mods for a while, and when I do, the heads will be first on the list. For now, I just plan to enjoy it as is.
I do need tires right away (has originals). Debating between the Hankook V12's to help the pocketbook or Mich PSS... ($800 vs $1000). I've read conflicting feedback on both.
With the M2W done, skip shift eliminated, fresh tires and service, any other first mods you guys recommend?
Looking forward to driving this nearly every day! Not going to be a garage queen here... I'm looking to daily drive 3-4 days per week
