Hey! New member from NC who joined about a month ago. My hunt for info on C1's kept landing me here.. although I do wish it were for happier reasons. My dad recently passed away and left me with a 1957 and a 1959. The 57 needs quite a bit of work. And a motor. And a transmission. The 59 isn't all original either... but was a daily driver for years. He had just finished painting it when he died and the body is still taken apart because he never made it home from hospital to put it back together (he did auto body work).
I only started tinkering with cars in the past year or two So forgive me in advance if I ask any really stupid questions. (and btw, I'm a female so maybe I should say "when", not "if" !) Debating on selling the 57... not sure yet. But for certain keeping the 59.
Anyways.. figured I'd say hello! I am a bit lost to be honest but hopeful that some of you won't mind sharing some wisdom and pointing me in the right direction. Either way just reading what is already here has been a tremendous help.. so thank you !

First, let me offer my condolences on the passing of your Dad.
As for the cars, you will find a wealth of information in the various C1/C2 sections of the forum. Best of luck getting the '59 back together and selling the '57 if you go that route.
Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your time here.
Thanks for the condolences.. and the welcomes! Dad used to take me to school every day in the 59. Used to tell me when I turned 16 it was going to be my car. I told him it was ugly and loud and I wouldn't be caught dead driving it ..(lol I was a dumb 12 year old girl!) - he loved reminding me of that every single time I would bug him about driving it for the next 30 years. I will get a photo of it later today.
