Default Corvette n00b

Hello all. Im new to the forum. Just bought my first Corvette a few weeks ago and I love it! It needs a little work here and there so I look forward to sharing what I do to it in hopes of helping someone else out, as well as looking to the forum if I run in to some issues!

So it's a 1993 Quasar Blue convertible. I've been looking for a few years for a vette. Wanted one since I was a kid (flash back to 1997 in bowling green Kentucky where I got to sit in one at the museum).
I really wanted a C3 (73-77) or a C5 (01-02) but just couldn't find 'the one'. I work for UPS and one day I delivered to this house with a blue Corvette. It looked as if it had been sitting for a little while. Top falling apart, tree sap over everything, just overall dirty. I thought to myself 'man I wonder if he wants to sell it. If he answers the door I'll see what the story is on it.'
He didn't answer. That night, once home, I do my daily ritual of scouring Craigslist. There it was. The exact Corvette I had seen earlier today! His asking price was $9000.00. I emailed him a bit and came to look at it a few days later. I could tell just by looking it was gonna need about $1600 in cosmetic stuff. I negotiated the price a bit... quite a bit 😎 And we shook hands and exchanged cash for title and keys.

So so here's what all I've done so far.
No radio, so I installed a new one that does Bluetooth and iPhone/ USB.
The bose system was shot, so I removed the front modules completely and fabricated 6.5" housings.
Added an amplifier that's has 4 channels so I can hear when the tops down. 😁
Pulled carpet and got all the water out (leaky top no weatherstripping)
new top (still in process)
new weatherstripping
led tail lights, reverse lights, interior lights and signals. New relay for led system
oil. Filter. Brake fluid. Brakes: drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads overhauled pistons.
show lighting
now cutting and buffing paint.
That's where I am now

Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting your C4.

You may want to continue your update posts in the C4 General section as it would be more a more appropriate place to let people know what you have done to the car.
