Hi from East Coast
Hi All,
Quick introduction:
I'm Josh. I'm an engineer in South East PA. I love cars along with hiking, fishing and getting outdoors. Full disclosure, I'm more of a BMW guy than a Corvette guy, but my Father-in-Law has been a Corvette lover since he was young. He's now retired and picked up his first Corvette (a 1995 Dark Red 6sp Coupe) as a retirement present to himself about 3 years ago. It is really a beautiful car and they were thrilled when they brought it home from Stoudts. Unfortunately, since he bought it, he's spends way more time washing it and obsessing over every little detail than he has driving it (I think he's averages less than 3k miles / year since he bought it). No matter how many pictures of Corvette Club gatherings at Watkins Glen (my wife, kids and I spend a lot of time up there), or road rallies at Radnor, or even the 1963 Grand Sport sitting in the Simeone museum, the car just sits in his garage.
So, long story shortish, he's asked me to sell it for him.. "maybe you can put it on that internet thing for me." They worked hard all their life, but didn't amass any kind of fortune. He was a CDL driver and his wife worked in Customer Service for 40+ years. The car was a big investment for them, I'm hopeful they'll be able to turn it into something they'll get more enjoyment out of for their golden years.
Anyway, thanks for having me. I'll be lurking in the C4 threads trying to learn as much as I can for the foreseeable future.
Here is the album full of for sale pics of the car:

I'll get the official ad posted up here soon.
Best Regards,
Josh

Welcome to the forum.
As far as listing the car for sale when it is not your personal vehicle, please be sure to read the forum guidelines on selling Corvettes and their parts. Here is a link to the guidelines:
[url]https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/forum-guidelines-and-rules/1938825-selling-corvettes-and-their-parts.html[\url]
And be sure to place the ad in the right section of the forum - in this case the C4 Corvettes for Sale.

"We are not currently requiring admin approval to list a car for sale that is owned by someone else. You can follow the above-referenced link to review the rules. Here's a pertinent excerpt:
Quote:
...Site users sometimes list Corvettes for a friend or relative who is unable to market and sell the car for themselves for some legitimate reason. Those listing cars or parts they do not personally own must make this clear in their sales thread, posting the circumstances and the role they will play in the sale as well as in addressing any post-sale issues. Potential buyers should be aware of who the actual owner of the car or parts is and who would be responsible for potential disputes.
Those listing cars or parts they have no affiliation to, just for the interest of other Forum users, should specify "no affiliation" in the thread...."
I did draft a for sale ad in the C4 for sale forum, and *I think* I'm just waiting for a mod to approve it for general visibility.
If I did anything incorrect in my post, please let me know. I'm a long time BMW forum member and know the annoyance uninformed new members can be on a forum. I'm trying to not be that guy, just trying to look out for my FIL and get a nice car to a good home.

Welcome, Josh!
Sorry your efforts to get your Father-in-Law into his Vette didn't go better.
Good luck with the sale.
