New guy...
Hello,
Joined the forum, intend to purchase a C5 Z06 or C6 base in a month or so when I head out to Cali. Just going to read up on a bunch of stuff to help me decide what to get. I am leaning towards the Z06 as it'll be just a fun car to drive and not a main DD. Plan to keep it N/A, do some cam's, headers, intake, and lighten it up a bit. The car will see drag strip time, and hopefully full track time as well.
I'm not new to the power, my previous car, a diesel 3 series, ran low 12's at 114mph so the Vette is about the same level stock.

Reading up on the models you're interested in is a great approach. The C5 and C6 sections have some good stickies in the General sections (especially the C5 General).
