I've loved the Corvette since my older brother's (don't judge) 1974. It sounded great. Looked great and far be it from me to tell him it was slow. Regardless, my turn. Looking at a C5 Z06 or a C6 anything.
I figured the best place to get the real story behind these beasts were to come here. Thx Y'all

Check out the stickies at the top of the pages in both the C5 and C6 sections. Tons of good info on those generations can be found there.

Haa... already, to the chagrin of my local dealer, I'm finding great resources here for both the C5 and C6 (secretly, that's what I'm going for ). I had an opportunity to drive both. I'm pretty sure I want to row my own, but after using that funky paddle shifter (after I figured it out), it shifted much quick than I could throw. Now I gotta do research on the motors. The LS2 felt good, the LS6 felt naughty and I saw visions of blue lights in my rear view.
Pretty fun.

STRONGLY second this. The dealership that sold me my 60th Anniversary was NOT an informed Corvette seller. (Multi-import dealership)
I was a first-time, but INFORMED Corvette buyer. Makes a big difference.
Good luck to you.
