Default Good day everyone

Hi all, I don't own a Corvette yet but am kinda half *** looking and full time daydreaming. I've loved Corvettes since I was a kid, the cool cars with round taillights and door handles in the top of the door window sill. I had books and posters and could tell tell what year a car was give or take a year. Later my interests moved to hot rods and street cars, and from there to jeeps and 4x4s when I bought an IH Scout. Now that most of my friends have moved on from four wheeling and I have an almost four year old daughter who wants me to "go fast, daddy", I'm thinking it's time to unload the Scout and look at Vettes again.

In high school I lived about three blocks from a Chevy dealer and would drool over the new C4 Corvettes. Right now I'm more interested in C5+, but locally I've seen a half dozen or so C4s at $2500 and under, so I'll probably wander over to theC4 forum and ask their collective opinion.

Welcome to the forum. Having owned four C4s and three C5s now, I would steer you towards the C5+ platform - tremendous changes to the vehicle between a C4 and a C5. Spend some time in both the C4 and C5 and newer sections and get an idea of the changes that were made. Lots of information is available to help you with your decision. Also, be sure to drive a number of examples of each to get a feel for the cars and see which one really talks to you.
