Z06 in Memphis
Hello everyone! Longtime lurker, first time poster.
I bought my first Corvette back in July- Black 2003 Z06 with about 70k miles.
Mods it came with: Halltech CAI, Corsa cat-back
Mods I've done: MGW shifter, Nitto NT05s
I have already done an SCCA Autocross, took it to the drag strip for a few passes, and just ran a NASA HPDE last weekend. I have met some really great folks at these events and other Vette owners that are always willing to let me use their tools LOL The car is amazing and so much fun to drive! I used to race 5.0 Foxbody mustangs at the drag strip and looked at the newer Mustangs really hard before getting the Vette. For under $20k, it is hard to beat for some go fast good times! So much bang for the buck, as I am admittedly NOT the mechanic/handyman type, I wanted something I wouldn't need to heavily mod just to go racing. I wanted something I can take to both the drag strip, as well as some track racing and this is it!
I also want to really thank this site for the astounding amount of information available to help guys like me! I have spent countless hours reading the last few months and was able to fix every issue I've found (mostly small stuff!). I actually just finished up cleaning up after a battery that had leaked sometime in the past and was causing some intermittent issues. This site has been a HUGE help so thanks!

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your Z06!
I agree with you about the benefit of the site - it's been really useful for me, too.

Welcome aboard.
I'm pretty much in the same boat you were in.
I too have a 5.0 Foxbody that's a father/daughter project. Now I'm researching a vette for myself.
i must agree with you on the bang for the buck of the Vette.
enjoy the car.
