New to the forum 2015 Z06 in NoVA
I would like to introduce myself but first want to complement everyone on an outstanding forum. I've been lurking for a while, reading the various very informative posts, and decided to join the discussing. I am not sure I can add a lot but willing to help, if I can.
As for me I have had sports/high performance cars for a while, first car wasn't a sports car - a 71 Roadrunner but then got into Jaguars (71 XKE and 76 XJS) shortly after I graduated College through Mitsubishi Starion (ESI-R 2.6L turbo) and a 3000GT VR4. With the 3000GT I got into polishing and power coating auto parts even had custom aluminum spark plug plate covers made for me to polish and powder coat. After playing with SUVs a bit (2007 Trailblazer SS and a 2009 HHR SS) got back into sports cars with a 2011 Mercedes SL65. In 2015, my father, who was 83 at the time, suggested we invest in something a little more hard core. So we started looking at Vettes in 2015; We liked the design and was seriously looking at a very nice Stingray; when I ask the salesman if they had got in any of the newly reintroduced Z06s. He said they had one in stock and he showed us a very nice Z06 with the Z07 package, two roofs (one painted, one clear smoked) with the 3LZ package and that was it.
And that is how we came to own a 2015 Z06. I belong to the local Old Dominion Corvette Club and enjoy showing the car a local shows. I've installed the K&N Aircharger Air Intake and red rim savers (not sure if I am liking the look but my youngest Son thinks it's cool).
Anyway looking forward to the weather warming up and being able to get the car out and enjoy it, I have put on a little less than 3000 miles on it, hasn't seen any rain yet just gotta find more time to drive it.
I've attached a few pics of the car prior to the rim savers, that added the red edge to the black rims.
Thanks,
Dave

Wow, thank you all very much. As you can see the pictures are a little dated, taken back in 2016, guess I'll have to get a few more recent pictures. But usually I find when I go to car shows, I end up taking pictures of all the other cars.
Route 66, congestion ;-) Since I am retired and live out near Clifton traffic really isn't too bad. Being retired, I can pick and choose what times I get out - but totally agree with you. The only reason I am still in the area is because my Wife is a Broker, Realtor and runs her own property management business and she really enjoys doing it, but as soon as she wants to join me in retirement - we'll be heading out of the area too.
Again thank you all for the warm welcome.
