Hi to all, I just wanted to introduce my self to the gang. My wife and I just purchased a 1979 C3 L82 with 27xxx miles and I am really excited to start the next phase in out classic car journey. The first car we purchased was an 84 Pontiac Trans-Am and we have had a lot of fun driving that car around but my wife is definitely a Corvette girl and I can afford the MOPAR I really want so a Corvette it is. I have spent the last 10 years restoring motorcycles and I am quite mechanical but have been looking for the next challenge. So I have been browsing CL for the last few months and have looked at a few c3's and thought we were going to have to settle for a c4 because we need trunk space for our dog who loves to go for rides with us. II know kinda pathetic looking for a car taking the dogs needs in to account but shes part of the family and the cat's a real dick so he cant go with us. As far as I can tell the C3 is stock and has not been molested except some incorrect hoses and a few clamps. This is no show car but seems like a great driver with the potential to be a 80 or 90 point car. Everything works and the interior is in excellent shape. No stains in the carpet or rips, wear in the seats. The car started right up on a 5 degree day and idled down with in 4 minutes. There are no weird engine noises and the exhaust is in good shape.
Thanks guys, I am looking forward to picking up the car next weekend.....if is does not snow that is. I have a nice warm spot in the garage next to the ta waitin for it.
