Hello from Virginia,
I have found myself using your forum for information several times since I have purchased my 1999 FRC, so I felt it was a good time to join. My car is stock with the exception of an aftermarket exhaust. It is high mileage with 140k on the clock. We are enjoying the car and are planning to run the East Coast Timing Association's standing start 1 mile land speed race this summer in Arkansas. I was wondering if anyone has some input for a total novice and his son. We will have the car checked over by a good local mechanic this spring and I plan to drive it locally quite a bit before we leave. We plan to drive the car from Virginia to Arkansas, so any road trip advice or racing tips/advice would be appreciated.
