Hello to all,
I am working on a customer's Corvette and have had many questions. It is a 1971 LS5 4 speed car that has been sitting for three decades. Someone has added after market AC to the car. Things we have encountered so far, that I have found the answers for here are as follows. Having trouble getting the gas tank filler centered in the gas door. Solution bend the tank seam at straps and install the tank correctly. This car has a radiator cap and surge tank cap, not correct but does not seam to be a concern. PS belt way out of alignment, solution wrong alternator pulley. 5/8 inch water pump shaft with 3/4 inch shimmed pulley. Ordered another 5/8 inch pump but it was too short. 3/4inch Delco 252-303 pump solved that. May have been rebuilt incorrectly? We started it last week and all is good. Many more projects on his list so I will more likely than not I will be checking in often. Thanks for the help! John

Thanks! I spent years on V8Buick.com building a 1971 Skylark convertible so hopefully I get my posts in the correct section.
