C6 in ND
So, after driving "normal" cars all of my adult life, I decided that it was time to fulfill my dream of owning a Corvette. On top of that, I had sold my last bike (2008 Yamaha FZ1) a couple of years ago as I decided that I had cheated death long enough. The problem was, I like riding the bike at 90+ mph. I definitely missed the thrill of the bike, so a Corvette was deemed to be the cure.
I started looking at C5s (because, I am, ahem, careful with my money) but started reading about all of the electrical and other issues with the C5. I spent over a year studying and reading, watching YouTube videos, etc. and watching the local for sale ads. I also came this close to buying a C4 convertible with a pro-charger, but it wasn't in my town and before I could check it out, it was sold. Late last fall, a 2009 base 1lt A6 with 50,000 miles showed up in a local ad. It had new tires, aftermarket Kenwood stereo, bluetooth, a big brake kit, Z06 wheels (and maybe more mods, but the owner didn't know what else had been done to it. It was owned by a young man who had bought it a year earlier after his divorce. His girlfriend was now pregnant and he decided to get rid of it. We agreed on a price and after several failed attempts to get together, I bought it on December 6th, 2017. I live in ND, so I have only driven it 4 times since I purchased it as we are having a nasty, apparently never-ending winter. Not sure if I will do any mods, but i do intend to drive it as much as I can.
The Corvette Forum has been a big part of my education and I am happy to be a new member. C'mon spring!

Congrats. on your C6!
