I have a 2000 Corvette, when I start the car Service Vehicle Soon appears, I was just at the deal they checked for codes nothing. they cleared but as soon I turn off the car and turn it back on it shows up again any ideas what can be.
Has your battery died/been replaced recently? This happened to me on Easter when my battery was dead and needed to be jump started. You can check for codes yourself and make sure there are not codes. The video below shows how to do so, if they code is old and been addressed it will have an H after it. If it is current and not been addressed it will have a C after it.

I got the car last week the previous owner told me that he changed the battery the week before then he took that battery back out and put another one in. think that did it?

Could be.. there are so many electronics in these cars. Mine showed the message upon start up for about 120 miles and then went away. But I would definitely check the codes yourself just to make sure the dealer didn't miss something.
