Hello everyone. My name is Dave. I live in Danbury, Ct. and am 63 years old. I do not currently own a Vette and never have. But that is why I joined the forum....hoping to learn as much as possible to move forward in purchasing a C3, 4 spd, probably small block, between years 1968 and 1972. It will be my retirement gift to myself.
From: In a parallel universe. Currently own 2014 Stingray Coupe.

Welcome to the forum. To learn about the C3 Corvettes, be sure to check out the sections of the forum that cover that generation. Best of luck in your search and in your retirement.
Well Dave, its never to late. I was 59 when I bought my first corvette as a retirement gift to myself too. I just didnt retire! Those are great years to own, remember these corvettes are rather old and many have issues, sellers use misleading terms. Read a lot, and have a car inspected by a pro before you buy. Enjoy your hunt, mine took three years, and good luck!

Welcome to the forum, Dave!
What a great retirement gift and don't worry about age - you're never to "young" to start.
Great insight from Vetteman Jack and dahogan to read, read, read everything you can about the mid-year generation, ask questions, take your time, and have your potential find inspected by an expert.
Also, check in the Upcoming Events section of the forum to see if there are any Corvette clubs near you. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-discussion-9/ You may find the perfect car through an event, and/or you may find an expert who can help you examine a potential purchase.
Best wishes with your search!
