I bought a 1979 Corvette last fall and only got to drive it a short bit before storing it for winter. I’m hoping spring comes soon. I’m just itching to get out there again. Buying it was a total surprise. I always wanted a Corvette but thought it would be several years away. Then the right opportunity came along and I decided to go for it. The wife and kids were shocked.
The previous owner did a lot to this car and it looks great. But this forum seems to be very helpful and I look forward to reading here as I try to improve it even more. Next step is to get the electric choke on the Street Demon carb to work. I suspect it isn’t getting 12 volts.
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your '79!
Lots of helpful information in the C3 section of the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1968-1982-5/
Best wishes with resolving the electric choke problem and wishing spring will hurry up for you!
Welcome Blue Thunder, I also joined the corvette owner club last fall. In fact I found my 427 in your area last September. How you enjoying this weather ? we had 17 inches of fresh snow Saturday morning another 8 inches since then and they are call for another 8 to 15 inches before it ends sometime tomorrow morning. Looks like the car will stay in storage till
May ! Good luck with your car, post of pics ! John
