Yeah, so I have lurked around here a couple a times, so what? Wanna Fight About It? 
Could you imagine someone having the nerve to first join and say something like that? I mean, woooh, am I right? Glad Im not like that guy!
So I finally bought a corvette. I have been around them all my life, as far back as I can remember. Matter of fact, one of my earliest memories are riding in Dad's red 65 Stingray (damn memory, +/- year or two) and having burned my leg on the side pipe climbing out of the seat, I didnt even cry!
He had a 57 he got off dealer brand new by chance. It was ordered special and the guy backed out when car was already done and waiting. The car dealer ran into Dad and mentioned the car, and that to his amazement it still had not sold yet and that he could make Dad a great deal. So yep, 57 white on white, 3 speed but had everything else and something else special ordered I dont remember right off, but will fill in later if interested.
He had a split window, and the red one I mentioned above, in years to follow, ending up with an 84 from 87 to 2000, The 84 was also the only one of his corvette's that I actually got to drive. Allegedly without his permission.. numerous times.
Somehow I have neglected myself this one thing in life that I had always assumed I would have had many by my age. Until about a year ago when I saw this car posted for sale. The price was low, it has light damage at driver front bumper that scrapes down to front of wheel well. I use to work as an autobody tech for years!
Black Rose, seemingly in near stock condition and in just remarkable shape for the year and miles (almost 200k :-O )
I gave the guy an offer, and he actually asked me in shock, if I was saying thousand, or hundereds.. I have never had anyone be so grateful over my low offer ever, in my entire life.However, the car could have blown up 2 blocks down the road and would probly not bothered me too aweful much, because.. Screw You Guys, I got a Corvette! (oh, guess that doesnt have same effect on you all that have corvette's too, damn)
Anyways, theres my long winded HELLO cut off while I still have a chance at being welcomed
