Hi everyone,
I'm an oldie, but a newbie to this forum. When in my 20s, I had a 57, a 59 and a 62 Corvette. I miss the 59 most. If only I would have kept it all these years..................!
I'm a gear head and am looking to buy another Corvette, a used one. Probably a C-5.
Currently, I have a 1939 Ford Coupe with a 671 blown 350 SBC that I'm trying to get put back together. The Corvette I buy will be to drive and enjoy.

Welcome back to the world of Corvettes. Good luck finding the C5 for you. You just might find what you’re looking for right here in the “for sale” area of the C5 forums.
Well, I did find a torch red 2000 C-5 convertible and bought it. I'm happy as heck. It looks brand new. I bought it from a dealer who deals a lot with Corvettes.
I am having messages related to the traction control and suspension mode so am going to clean the ground contacts and connections to see if that clears it up. I'm fully aware with ground gremlins from experiences with my other Corvettes. I hope it's not the modules as they are available or they can re-build mine but they are around $2K for both parts.

Welcome, did you check with that dealer? Might be an easy fix maybe not..Good Luck...

I had read up on problems with the 2000 corvettes and the module was one of the biggest complaints. I questioned the dealer and they assured me that they had checked out everything and everything worked. They also said that the modules were available again or mine could be re-built. I felt more comfortable because I had read that the modules were not available.
I had also read that bad ground connections were causing similar problems to what I am having. The problem is that the messages are intermittent so it can be hard to show a mechanic what it's doing.
Otherwise, I love the car. It looks brand new and drives great. I'm trying to clean out 1/2 my garage so I can get the car in it. At least it's covered. The other 1/2 has a 39 Ford Coupe hot rod, blown 350 engine, 4 speed, ford 9" rear, etc, etc.
Man, I just hate intermittent electrical problems. They can be so frustrating, so difficult to reproduce and track down. Not at all like mechanical issues such as valve train, carbs, brakes, shift linkage, etc. Electrical can really cause terrible apathy for a project, I've suffered that with airplane refurb projects. And I had Air Force training & experience working on B-52 electrical systems.
My discipline is Electrical and I'm an inspector on large industrial projects.
Having owned 3 other Corvettes I've seen ground issues. I will disconnect clean and re-connect the grounds per the recommendation of someone who posted a thread about grounds. It resolved his issue so maybe I'll get lucky and it will fix mine too
