Best wishes and remember to save the wave!
It's been a long standing tradition for Corvette owners to acknowledge each other on the road. I don't know how far back it goes, but there was an article about this in an issue of Corvette News almost 50 years ago. Nothing formal with the wave. For some with the convertible top down or the targa roof off, they may hold their hand up above the windshield and wave. Others will give a thumbs up, others will raise a finger or two (nothing obscene ). You'll find the wave as the first of the Corvette 10 Commandments: The Corvette Commandments:
1- Thou shalt not fail to wave to a fellow Corvette owner.
2- Thou shalt not pass a fellow Corvette owner in distress without offering aid.
3- Thou shalt not feed thy Corvette budget-grade fuel.
4- Thou shalt treat thy Vette with respect; great power, great responsibility.
5- Thou shalt keep thy Corvette clean and waxed at all times, yet thou shalt not bring thy Corvette to an automatic car wash.
6- Thou shalt park thy Corvette in such a manner as to protect her tender fenders.
7- Thou shalt blow out carbon with a high-speed run as required.
8- Thou shalt not cruise on an unpaved road.
9- Neither friend, nor foe, nor even thy spouse may drive thy Corvette without first showing proper reverence.
10- Each Vette is an individual work of art; judge not lest ye might be judged.
Alternate Wording
Ten Commandments of Corvette Owners:
I. Thou shalt not loan a Corvette to anyone.
II. Thou shalt not bring a Corvette to an automatic car wash.
III. Thou shalt not fail to wave to a fellow Corvette owner.
IV. Thou shalt not swear at Corvette - for it is very tempermental.
V. Thou shalt not cruise a Corvette on an unpaved road.
VI. Thou shalt not pass a fellow Corvette owner in distress.
VII. Thou shalt not feed a Corvette with budget grade fuel.
VIII. Thou shalt not expose a Corvette to severe weather conditions.
IX. Thou shalt not forget to activate Corvette alarm.
X. Thou shalt not acknowledge a Porsche or 280Z as being true sports cars.
Have fun. Enjoy your Corvette. Enjoy the company of others who own or appreciate the Corvette.

Hi Gavin! Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your C7!
The best place to post concerns such as yours would be in the Transaction-Feedback section of the forum at: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-feedback-153/
This is probably the primary place where members will look if they have a question about any Corvette related business.
It appears by the overcharging, that dealership is actually encouraging you and other Vette owners to go to another business.
Best wishes with finding a dealership or business that appreciates Corvette owners and wants to be their "go-to" place.
