Welcome to the forum, Doug, and congratulations on your C6!
You're right - they have come a long way since your C3.
Lots of great members and helpful info in the C6 section at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-2005-2013-14/.
Enjoy your ride and keep on waving!
So far ALL Corvettes wave. Several large clubs down here. Here is a guy in Mount Dora, Florida.... small wave.... prob waiting on his wife to quit shopping and go to lunch.
Thanx Jstan, Nice to find Texans .... I am from Beaumont.
There seems to be quite a few Forum members in Texas, but we can drive to Dallas and back (400 miles) on any given day and only see one or two Vettes along the way. Enjoy Florida! It seems like the Vette community is very active down your way. Keep Ballin’ the Jack!

Tnx infos! The Villages Corvette Club is 15 miles north of here. They are retirees but very active. Here is a video of them converging on Lake Sumter Landing for a show. The Monterey Red convertibles gave me Corvette Fever, so had to have one. Riding with Pop years ago, a loud Vette passed us from behind and blew our doors off. Pop said he was "balling the jack" and I never forgot that. Enjoy your ride. I miss Texas. https://video.search.yahoo.com/searc...c&action=click

Cool video(s).
Funny how we remember things from long ago. I had to google the term. I grew up with muscle cars and never heard “ballin the jack”. I love it! Hope to see you over in the C6 forums.
Urban dictionary “to make haste, such as to grossly exceed the posted speed limit while operating your vehicle”.

Awwww that's good!! Back in the day the guys also referred to speeding trains as balling the jack. Blacks called a locomotive a Jack and a High Ball told the engineer he could run the train wide open. Wife almost home so getting ready to take her out and burn a little rubber and octane, make Sure we are back for the first preseason Cowboy's game tonite. Catch ya later !
