Yet another new guy!
our new '88
Hello fellow Vette lovers! I have ALWAYS loved Corvettes! My first ride was in my best friends fathers 1969 L88, we were late to see Tora Tora Tora, and Mr. Critch scared the hell out of me getting to the theater at 100 plus mph! Well, I just sold my '68 GTO and bought a near mint 1988 C4, bright red coupe, with the 4 plus 3 manual transmission, and the tan interior, she has 66K original miles. Runs great! I fact it is hard to believe the low HP figures with the car accelerating the way it does! I am a 59 year old retired electrical engineer (35 years at Rockwell Defense Electronics, Fullerton,Ca.) A widower that has the incredible luck to have found and won a second great woman in a single lifetime! Whom I am driving to Reno next week in our new Vette to be married! I love this car!!!! And Ginia, my fiance, who is already a bit jealous! But also loves the car! SO we are to be a happy new family. I'm looking forward to picking up a few hundred more horsepower, so I will be asking many questions!!!! See you all again soon!
