Purchased my first Corvette two weeks ago though luck and happenstance. Was not in the market, but happened to run across this beauty, and she darn near took my breath away.
I am a sucker for red! The gentleman I purchase from did most the heavy lifting, redoing the paint, suspension and most the interior.
The car sat for a little while. Already replace brake calipers brake lines, and all the e-brake hardware....only after scaring the heck out of myself. Next project is getting the wipers correct, HVAC up to snuff and general fit and finish. I have not decided yet whether having Zip Corvette about 30 minutes away is a blessing or a curse?! Zip has been great.
On a side note, my father owned a 73 when I was growing up. I invited him over to help go though this 72....just giving her the once over, greasing all the fittings, checking the spare (original tire and rim) and changing the differential fluid. I had a great time! Worth the price of admission! I think that my friends, is what it is all about.
Again, thank you for all the information, and I look forward to meeting everyone.
