Hey guy's and Gal's, I have worked for GM dealers since I was a teenager. I have worked on a few Vettes but never owned one, until last Winter. I have a 88-C4 convert and a hard top . Turned out I really like it. two days ago I bought a 1984 . real cheap ! I think. It's a donor car now. it has many pieces and parts that I can use. Its only good as a donor car.
I am 75 year old and still hot rodding, I still own a Auto Body repair and a emergency wrecker service. I try not to go , around there to often !! lol I have a shop at my home. Its a awesome Forum, Im happy that I found y'all the 84 , a donor car the 88, my driver , Grand kids love it
sense last Saturday I have learned more about the Vette then I have in all my past years. stripping the basic frame is a chore , BUT I have enjoyed the challenge. My 88 C-4 has needed several thing replaced , like seat covers and much other interior pieces, windshield, new tires. many other pieces. well these pieces are NEW , these pieces alone covers what I gave for the 84 C-4. I and very happy with the purchase and addition to my hobby's. lol , I dont know who said it on the forum , but the battery reciprocating saw is the #1 tool for this job. Here are some pics , please dont get upset with me , I plan on repurposing and saving most parts. engine sounds good, speed-o-meter reads 84,000 plus ??? I will have my own parts store for my 88 ! lol Im starting to see my plan for frame alteration's
