Hi all, I'm kind of new to the Forum... I joined in 2017 but, never had time to get back on the site. I have a 2007 Victory Red Corvette Convertible with a 6 speed that I purchased in 2017 and I'm in love with it.
I'm 66 and I've almost always had a sports car. I've owned 3 Triumphs (1968 Spitfire, 1976 TR4 and a 1976 TR7), a 1962 and a 1967 Austin Healey 3000, a 1964 Ford Comet Coup, with a 289 HP under the hood, a 1969 Chevy Impala SS 396, a 1976 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT and a Mazda Speed 3 with 325 hp. I also rode motorcycles and owned 10 different bikes over the years. From a 1969 Honda 305 that I put together with parts from a junk yard when I was in the Marine Corps in 1970, to a 1974 Harley Davidson Sportster that I purchased from a friend after he wrecked it. My last Bike was a 2004 Yamaha Roadstar 1700cc or 1.7 liters. It was a great bike and my wife and I travelled all over New England and New York with it. It came to past that my wife felt I should give up riding motorcycles after a couple mishaps that almost took me out, including a truck driver texting while driving in my lane. So, to be safer, I told my wife that I would need a convertible and she said okay. So, I did a lot of research (2 years worth) and when I found the car I wanted, I sold my Bike and Mazda Speed 3 and with a very small loan, I bought my C6 Corvette.
I know I've been a bit long winded so, please forgive me for that.
Hi Jim!
Thanks for the intro and more information about you and your car/bike background. Sounds like you have a nice C6 vert!
Thank you for your military service!
Thank you all, for welcoming me to the CF and your support of our military - Semper Fi, RKJ427. Fake: I've been to the Corvette Connection, I was hoping they were good guys. Thanks
