New C5 Owner
Purchased my 04 base end of November, M6 with 89k on it. Really enjoying it and it drives great... Well until the crank balancer decided to unfasten itself... Glad to see it's a common problem, and I'm in the process of fixing it, while doing some upgrades along the way. Thankfully the crank snout was undamaged.
Ended up getting the powerbond OEM size balancer with a pin kit, TSP 228R cam with valve springs, TSP longtubes with catted x-pipe, GM high performance oil pump, LS2 timing chain, and everything else needed to button it up. Aiming for 400whp, although I'm more concerned with it's street manners.
All in all, disappointed I had the balancer problem. I wasn't planning on tearing this car apart for another year while I finished school, but working with the hand I was dealt. Looking forward to interacting to you all, thanks for creating a great community!

Congrats. on your sharp C5 coupe!
Best of luck getting all together.

Sounds like some nice mods "since you are already in there".

Finished the install last night, very happy with a hassle-free first start. I have an appointment for a dyno tune this Friday, I'll certainly post results!
