Howdy everyone! I’ve had my 1989 corvette since September of last year. Was looking around for a new car for myself after my girlfriend and I both landed pretty great jobs. And for being 20 we’re doing pretty great for ourselves. Anyways, I used to drive a 2004 Ford Focus Wagon that my grandfather gave me in high school, but it was starting to fall apart and not worth putting the money towards fixing it. So we spent weekend after weekend looking around at used car lots for something that I might like. Nothing had ever really caught my eye, but I kept telling myself “Just be patient. You’ll know what you want when you see it” One day we were getting my girlfriends oil changed and decided to stop by the used lot while we waited. Looked around a bit, and the guy who sold my girlfriends car came out and asked if we needed anything. I told him my price range and that I wanted something “a little different” He brings me around to where they had the vette sitting, and I’m thinking “Man that’s a really nice car. But it’s gonna be out of my price range.” Tag on the dash said $8,500 and I’m thinking there’s no way, there’s gotta be something wrong with it. He brings out the keys and I sit in and start it up and notice it’s got only 54,800mi on it. At this point I’m sitting there completely shocked. And that’s when I knew I had to have it...
I’m sorry if it was a bit long but I figured y’all would like a story on how I got it, cheers
Welcome!!! From your avatar, the car looks to be super nice!! Do you have any pictures of the car to share? How's the interior? Are you loving driving the car?
Same here, just bought 89 vette, white with torch red interior. I've had lots of camaro and firebirds but first vette. She sits next to my 68 chevy swb. Good looking duo. I'm from tn also, Cookeville actually.
