Hey everyone, seen this ’92 vette on FB.
Here was the ad….92 vette 6 speed not your normal Frank's vette huge cam aluminum angle plug heads roller rockers over size injectors professional products throttle body be cool radiator short throw shifter brand new tires and brakes tons of money in car no cats with electronic cut offs chipped car isn’t your normal corvette and it has 99 corvette seats cold ac it's a steal price to sell!!!! $3300Rode around in it, started fine, and picked it up for stated price!Lasted till the second day when it wouldn’t start while filling up with gas. Had to tap on the starter motor to get it started. Put the Hypertech chip in and it ran really rough, so brought it home and raised it up, this is what we have found so far….Battery leaked, frame grounds bad, cleaning up, painting with POR-15 Battery cables bad, replacing with Napa originals
Starter motor bad, replaced with a Powermaster unit
Power steering unit leaking bad, ordered Tuff-Stuff unit
Power steering pulley chipped, haven’t found one yet…Ideas?????
Alternator bad
Leaking brake fluid, found fluid on 3 tubes, driver’s side by door, ordered replacements set from Classic TubesSomeone had tried to jack car up under passenger seat, put 4” dent in passenger side floorboard Door panels in bad shape
This is what was on the car.
SS headers, long tubes
Dual 3” exhaust with crossover and dumps out behind rear axle, QTP cutouts (not working) EGR plugged
AIR injection unhooked
Many sensors unplugged
Cruise control not working (vacuum lines unplugged)
Goals for the car is for the wife to run the Bradenton True Street class on March 7, not sure we are going to make it, I’m also working on my ’71 Nova SG car!
