About six weeks ago my brother in law called to see if I would help him find a nice C5 convertible as I am in Florida and there a lot of Vettes. I found him a pristine 2004 with 30,000 and looked like it just came off the showroom floor and could not find a blem on it. I put a down on it and He traveled down and bought it. That got me thinking about Vettes again. I checked in from time to time about 3 years ago. However, was in the process of a '66 Mustang (yeah I know) nut and bolt restoration and finally got it done. However it turned out so nice we hate to use it. Always afraid someone will scratch it or hit it while not paying attention. Anyhow, have decided to sell the '66 convertible and try a Vette. Also have a Polaris Slingshot for a toy but still think the Vette might be more useful. Have two other vehicles as well so the Vette will be a fair weather car. Will be looking at a C6 convertible, LS 3, Manual , 2LT. Would like a 2012 or 2013. I am in no big hurry as I am sure the right car will come along. Have seen some very knowledgable information on this site from guys who seem to know their stuff..I still do a bit on my cars but getting older and do less and less but still a car guy...
Thanks guys. I figured a 2012 or 2013 is about as good a C6 as you get.
I have read where the interior was changed for the better in 12 but will have to look at the 08-11 to see if there is much difference.
A 13 is the last year of C6 but besides that I do not know of any real advantage to the 13 over the 12...At that point I think GM was kinda treading water till the C7 came out..
