Let me start off by saying that I do not yet own a vette but I have always loved them as long as I can remember. I am at a moment in my life where I am able to afford a C5 or C6. Been looking round on craigslist, Facebook market place, etc. but honestly not sure what I should/shouldn't be looking for when it comes to a vette. I have always driven SUV's and never a standard except for a couple times trying to learn - doesn't seem that hard. Not sure if I should get an auto or manual or what trim level etc.

Welcome to the forum. Here’s my suggestion - take a look at the stickies in the C5 section and in the C6 section. Lots of good info there.
Also, create a thread in each of the C5 and C6 General Sections and ask for advice on the +/- of each generation. Members will give you some sound guidance.
