I am a bit late introducing my self. I joined back in 2013 when I owned a 73 454 Top Corvette but life had other options and The car was sold within the year to pay for unexpected bills that life threw my way. Life has a strange way of working because in February of this year my fathers Hospice nurse mentioned in passing that her father had 3 old Corvettes sitting in his garage that he had not driven in years. She wanted them gone as they were just sitting around in the way and he was never going to fix them.He bough a 76 Vette and his wife crashed it destroying the drivers fender and door. He started to repair and replaced the fender and door greeting it ready for paint when he came across a 1971 Convertible Corvette at a local dealership and decided he had to have it as well. Three weeks after he bought the 71 Corvette his wife drove it under the back of a Pontiac damaging the front clip and headlights. He had that car towed home and pulled it into the garage next to the 76 Vette. He then bought a 72 Corvette Top car but never let his wife drive that car since she had wrecked his other 2 cars. He drove the 72 Vette until 2011 when his wife passed away. My father found out about the cars and had me go look at them. After a few minutes of haggling a deal was struck and the cars came home with me. My father and I had intended on him keeping the 72 and me keeping the 71 convertible. The 76 was to be repaired and sold for cash to rebuild the convertible. A week after purchasing the cars my father passed away. I sold the 76 and am in the process of selling the 71 convertible but there is not enough money in the world to buy the 72 Corvette. Looks like life found a way to help me keep a piece of my father around for years to come.
