Hello forum members! New guy here, although I've been lurking for a little while. I'm a life long hot rodder, but admittedly I'm here looking for a car that delivers the performance I love, but also the creature comforts that weren't important to me 20 years ago. Funny how nowadays we see performance like never before, but the cars are so well built you can drive them everyday and never miss a beat. Not sure that's always a good thing, but it's what I'm after. ....but it's not just nuts and bolts. I'm a lifelong GM guy and have owned a few Camaros and multiple trucks, and one 89 Iroc that I've owned for 20 years. Oh she's beautiful! -but I find that on those nice spring days, and date nights, I'd just rather drive my Sierra than my Camaro. ...and I've had my eye on a Corvette for several years now, but I guess now is finally the time.
So here I am.
My plan originally was to find a c6 Z06 or Grand Sport, but I've always loved that c5 Z06. Seems everyone else who owns one feels the same way. -and I have some history with a good friend who owned one and loved it. I can get into one without the bank's help too, which makes the wife happier! ...so unless something drastic changes, I hope to own a c5 Z06 in the not too distant future!
