Hello all;
My name is Al and my son's name is Kolten. We bought an 87 C4 at auction in May of last year (2018). She has a standard trany and no engine upgrades. Does not have leather interior and has the optional CB radio. We bought this car to have something to play with on the weekends. The only thing we had to do was get the hood re-painted. The previous owner stored it in one of his barns, yup, he was a farmer. We store it in a heated storage garage we rent monthly, better to keep things warm during the nasty -50 degree weather we get up this way. We do not drive her during the winter months, October to end of April. Depends on how much sand and stone are still on the roadways. She was bought to keep for many years, at least thats what I am hoping my son will do. I will teach him everything I know and what I learn from you folks. I am not afriad to tackle anything, I just make sure Iam well educate first.
I look forward to the discussions I might have here. The first project we will be doing is an installation of a new rear view mirror with built in monitor screen and wireless rear view camera. After that it will be the replacement of the O/D switch that is in the shifter.
