Ben - welcome to the forum. Sure would like to see a pic of your '69 Buick GS. I had a '71 GS Stage 1 Convertible many years ago - sure wish I had that car back.
Hey all , Thanks for the Welcome , Vetteman asked for a picture of the old GS 400 There's quite a story there but my typing skills leave a lot to be desired .
e welcome ,,I am trying to attach a picture of my GS
As I was saying earlier I have a chance to pick up a 85 vette from anywhere 1,000.00 - 1500.00 dollars , I looked at it and its no cherry but seems to be a sound car , The owner has alzheimer's and is being sold by his care taker , I went to see the car and they had a friend showing the car for her and the battery had to be charged because it was dead , anyway the car started but sounded like **** (oops) missing and farting it seemed to settle down a bit so I took it for a drive and the power was way down the steering and suspension was fine .....I forgot to say the car has been in storage for about 10 years and has about 170.000 miles on it , my gut says it can be repaired but , at what price ... I would probably just flip it anyway , my wife has multiple replacement parts in her hips and knees and I really don't want a divorce HAHA . well maybe I do ....no , I don't think so.
The main thing is , is the car worth the asking price ..and what could be the problems and potential costs if i do the work myself ..I'm fairly good with mechanics but not to sharp on electronics , I am just looking for a rough estimate only.
thanks all
