Me and my new '65
Hello all -
I have been wanting one since I was about 9 years old and finally, I have purchased my very first Corvette. I had in mind that I would look for as perfect a car as I could get, and I started with the following list:
1965 Convertible
Glen Green
4-speed manual
L79 (because I knew I couldn't afford a big block or a fuelie)
But then I ran across this one in Milano Maroon. Some things I don't like:
Obviously, a '67 big block hood
NOM 350 engine from 1989
Automatic transmission, and not even the original powerglide - it's a turbo 350
Well, the rest of the car looked fairly solid, and since I live in a big city that seems to be under perpetual construction, automatic is kind of nice. So I used the things I didn't like to get the price down and now she's mine! Hope to see some of you at local car shows soon.
