Hello folks, I am from the southern il. Area. Just about 2 hours south of Effingham il. (Fun fest in September. Woot woot). I am now a corvette owner. I have been wanting one for many years and just recently jumped into the water. I was able to get into a 2007 c6 base model convertible. It’s a beauty. I got it through a mutual friend that was wanting to upgrade to a c7. I got into it at a nice price point, however it has a few miles on her. 90k to be exact. I believe I got her just in time for some maintenance. That’s ok though I figured as much and I am having a great time making some upgrades out in the garage with my son and brother. I upgraded the original shocks to the Bilsteins. I also changed out the tires to non run flats. The ride is so much nicer and quieter. I replaced the tie rod ends, wipers, alternator, plugs and wires. Having some current heat soak issues with the starter. I’m currently working to correct that. (Any suggestions are appreciated.). Also having the dreaded service fuel system and fuel gage dropping issue. Currently running shell top tier fuel and and the Techron and praying I don’t have to drop the tanks. Again I am so excited to be in the corvette forum and looking forward to the new adventures in the Vette. Got a pic of new Vette below.
