Default NFG...sort of

Hi Gents...just bought a '16 Z06 3LZ Vert with 3K miles last month. I did own a '65 Roadster with the 396/425HP engine back when I was a puppy in The Corps in the late 70's...but that was a long time ago. My last car was a Porsche 997 TT with a 765+ BHP turbo build that I sold mainly due to medical issues last year but I seem to be on a path to stick around for a while so bought the Z a few weeks ago. I have been taking my time getting used to her and not jumping to conclusions with regards to her not being a hyper spaceship fast 911 Turbo but rather a Chevy. After driving her for 4 weeks now I am really loving her...get a huge smile every time I drop the top and I think the C7 Z Vert's look incredible (interesting that I never really cared for the 911 cabriolet looks but LOVE the Z06 Vert)...I get lots of looks rolling down A1A here in Cocoa Beach, which is always fun. Mine has the painted bits so she looks understated and elegant I think, but still bad ***...absolutely love the look...I do miss the 3,500RPM big turbo kick but I have a much newer car with much newer tech and I am extremely happy with my Z06. I made a lot of mods to my 997 but I plan to keep my Z06 OEM, my only mod has been the GM Performance Intake so I guess I sit around 665 BHP now, which doesn't put her too far off my 997 TT and with only RWD it is fun to swap the rear end out on command now...as I said I am a very happy Z06 owner, but yeah I do miss my Porsche 997 TT. I am going to see what the C8 up models engine options turn out to be...as an Engineer I am still not expecting GM to spend the money to put a TT V8 in the C8 Z model(s), but if they do I will certainly look at it closely...at this point I am expecting the LT4 slightly reworked for mid engine usage so around 670ish H.P. which with the DCT and mid engine weight bias should not be too far off the 911 Turbo S 2.5 second 0-60 and 200+ MPH specs (a $225K car) ...so yeah I will keep my Z06 until I see what is available down the road.
