Wow.
I watched a youtube video about a mechanic saying that the best bang for the buck for any car, was a C5 and if you are looking for a 2nd car, you would be stupid not to own one considering price/benefits.
I went to see a c5, and ended up with the best vette on the lot, which was a C6, 2007 Z51 Stock Racing Suspension. It's a whole lot of car and its stock.
I am still blown away by it... I was into Porches and kind of took Corvettes for granted because they are an American car, and there is so many of them out there. I never actually drove one, I was blown away. I had no idea what a fine machine these cars really are. The nicest sports car I have driven was a Porche 2015 Targa S and I have to admit I like the feel and performance of the C6 better.
I loved the one button transformation on the Porsche, that was sick, but when it comes down to the grit, the C6 felt nicer and just put a wider grin on my face when driving, I never would of thought that to be the case.
Just the other day, I was pissed off, late, and every little thing was bugging me, if I had a rake on the floor I would of stepped on it and hit myself square on the face with the handle, it was just one of those days. I decided to take the Vette out and 15 minutes into the drive I was giddy like a schoolboy. So much fun to drive, and I am 46 so speed limit is fine with me, still super fun driving this thing.
I feel like I pulled off a heist. I did not know that I could be this happy with 25K sports car. I don't even want to mention the price, because it just doesn't seem right.
If I knew this earlier, I would of bought one sooner.... than again, maybe its good I waited till stupid grew up a little, so much power.
Only thing it did not come with was the heads up display. So I bought one off market, got the wiring harness of ebay, and will be getting someone wiser than me to install it. Looks like a seriously complicated job for a newb like me. (I am really excited to have the HUD, the C5 I first tested had it and it was a nice little perk)
Have not been this happy with a new car in 20 years, and its not even new. Now I am looking at the new ones and kicking myself for not holding out and spending 3 times as much, but for the price, there is nothing wrong with this date... and I think it may be wiser to drive this for 2 years and let them iron out the kinks out of a
new production line.
I am now a Vette fanboy.

I got my first corvette (C6) 2 years ago. its an 07 as well.
I love it, but i quickly found things I dont like, but no car is perfect. I would reccemend buying new seat foam and installing it. That made me really enjoy the car more.
