Hi all. My name is Dale, and as suggested, I am introducing myself to your many awesome members. I am mid 50’s, married to the love of my life since I was 21, have one terrific daughter and have lived in Edmonton my entire life. I recently purchased my dream car, a 2015 StingrayZ51 2LT, and am loving it! I have literally loved Corvettes since I was a kid, and finally decided that life is too short, and I can actually finally afford one, so I pulled the trigger on one in early September. It was not something that I ever thought I would actually do, but I found an add for a 2009 Z06 that a dealership had for sale, so I went “just to look”. Well, I got there and that one was sold, but then I had a really close look at a used C7, and was bit by what turned out to be my new obsession. I eventually settled on one at another dealership about a week later. I still can’t really believe I actually own my forever dream car.
I say my “forever” dream car because I had been obsessed with them forever. I would always stare at them whenever I would see one on the street or in a parking lot, etc. I would sometimes come home from work and tell my wife that I saw a gorgeous Vette on my drive home from work, or some silly story. I always thought that if I ever won the lottery, I would be buying a brand new Vette the next day. It wouldn’t be a Ferrari, or Lamborghini, or Porsche, it was to be a CORVETTE!
Anyhoo, that’s my semi brief story. Hopefully I can post a picture of my baby on this post. Fingers crossed.
