Hello, I'm Mark and finally ready to buy my first Corvette! It will take some work and time but it will be worth it. I'm considering making it my pre-retirement present and retirement project. It's a '72 Stingray Coupe (I graduated HS in '72) that I will be buying tomorrow if it looks viable. High mileage (175k), never worked on, just broke in engine A base 350 and I have plenty of wrench time on those engines and can make some minor improvements to add some HP. Interior needs TLC but the current owner has new door panels, carpet, seat covers and cushion that will go with it. Ya, I'll get my hands dirty but I will have a big grin on my face while doing it!
The 72 was "misrepresented" and I passed on it. I found another one, a 70, went up to Ohio Friday and it followed me home! It's mostly done, has primer and sealer on body, frame looks great and engine and trans were rebuilt about 2,000 miles ago. I have found that if it has Corvette on it trim parts are insanely priced!
